Award-winning author and photographer Kerri McCaffety captures the opulence and mystery of NewOrleans' French Quarter and brings it to life in a luxurious parade of pictures and pride in her newbook: The Majesty of the French Quarter. 

A look beyond the French Quarter facades reveals elaborate patios and secret gardens, privateresidences and art-filled interiors -- many of which have been photographed here for the first time. 

Kerri McCaffety is the author of the acclaimed Obituary Cocktail: The Great Saloons of NewOrleans, which was named one of 1998's best books by the New Orleans Times-Picayune and the winnerof the 1998 Book of the Year award from the New Orleans Gulf South Booksellers Association. Her workhas appeared in publications such as Southern Accents, Town and Country, and Historic Traveler. 

The author will be signing copies of both The Majesty of the French Quarter and ObituaryCocktail: The Great Saloons of New Orleans at the book signing and artist reception at AGallery for Fine Photography on Sunday, December 12, 1999 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.. A selection ofthe artist's limited edition Iris color prints of the new photos in The Majesty of the FrenchQuarter will also be on exhibit.
