Jerry N. Uelsmann has been a major creative force in fine art photography for over four decades.  This extensive exhibition will feature new images made over the past five years, including landscapes of Yosemite, imagery from his museum studies project and photographs inspired by other artists and mentors.  Jerry N. Uelsmann is a master printer of the multiple image.  His photographs are filled with poetry, mystery, humor and symbolism.

Jerry N. Uelsmann was born in 1934 in Detroit, Michigan.  He studied under Minor White and Ralph Hattersly at the Rochester Institute of Technology where he received his BFA in 1957.  As a graduate student at Indiana University, he met his mentor Henry Holmes Smith and after earning an MS and MFA there in 1960, he began teaching at the University of Florida where he still teaches today.
Jerry N. Uelsmann has been the recipient of the Guggenheim Fellowship in 1967 and the National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in 1972.  Museums and galleries throughout the world have exhibited his work extensively.
