Édouard Baldus was born in 1813 in Grünebach, Prussia.
He lived and travelled throughout France.
He died in 1889.
Known for:

southern France.

He was originally named Eduard, but he changed the spelling to Édouard upon
moving to France.
Baldus strove to be a painter and only became interested in photography when a
career in painting did not work out.
