Jessica Lange was born 1949 in Cloquet, MN.
Having a successful acting career spanning thirty -five years, winning two Oscars, six Academy Award nominations
and four Golden Globe Awards.
Her photography is in the school of the Documentary Masters such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Frank and Garry Winogrand.
In addition to being documentary in nature, Lange's photographs also capture images of "Time and Space."
When viewing her images, it becomes apparent that the concept of space in the photographs is ambiguous.
Lange is not manipulating reality but, capturing reality as it appears to be substantial, static or morphic.
The photographs provoke the audience to wonder what the actual space is or what is really happening. The photographer isn't giving the answer, she is showing you the image.
